Jemez Pottery

Jemez pottery takes a wide variety of forms, including highly polished redware, matte-surfaced tanware, elegant melon jars, intricate polychromes and graceful swirl-design ollas.

Jemez Pueblo is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Albuquerque in New Mexico.

An absolutely striking large olla by this master potter.  Since she began her exceptional career, Geraldine has won five first place ribbons, six second place ribbons and four third place ribbons at the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market.  She has also won first, second and third prizes at Phoenix's Heard Museum juried competitions.
 
Amazingly intricate geometric designs in bright creamy bone/tan and black over highly polished red body.  Unusual scalloped neck.
