Types of Pima basketry: fine coiled baskets for storage, gathering, winnowing and decorative use. Intricate geometric designs were favored. Usual materials for Pima baskets are willow, cottonwood, cattail, agave, devil's claw, mountain mahogany and (sometimes) horsehair.
The ancestral homeland of the Pima people is south-central Arizona.
